Allan is an NHMRC Career Development Fellow and leads the Systems Genomics theme in the Centre. His research involves the analysis of high-throughput genomic data and with the aim to provide insight into the biology underlying complex traits. Currently he is focusing on DNA methylation and its role on the interface of the genome and the environment.
