Shawn [Xiaodong] Joined the group in 2020, after receiving his M.S. in Bioinformatics from University of Chinese Academic of Sciences in 2018. Prior to joining UQ, he worked on bioinformatics at BGI-Shenzhen and China National Genebank, where he was also involved in conducting research on population genetics and the BGI sequencing platform. His current research interests reside in the predictive ability of polygenic risk score and quantitative genetics with a focus on human traits. In his spare time, he enjoys CrossFit and swimming.
