Dr Mulusew (Mule) has a background in plant breeding and genetics, obtaining his PhD at La Trobe University and postdoctoral experience at the University of Queensland QAAFI (2018-2021). His expertise includes genomic selection, developing genomic prediction pipeline and performing Genome-wide association studies to uncover consequences of genetic change and population genetics. In 2021 he joined Prof Visscher's lab at UQ to broaden his research interests in the human genetics.
